Western Art & Photos by Tomi Simenson | About
Hey there! My name is Tomi Simenson, and I live in a great place that the people around here like to call "Big Sky Country." I grew up on a ranch in Miles City, where I fell in love with that life style. Growing up I stayed busy with my horses, showing, my drawing, and was also very involved in activities in the community such as 4-H, FFA, and High School Rodeo. After graduation I went off to college in Glendive on a rodeo scholarship, which is where I met my husband. We have been married for six years and have two very cute and wild boys named Wylee, and Wacee.

Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and through the years my family has been very supportive in helping me pursue this dream as an artist. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if it wasn’t for my family. Photography has also been something I have always enjoyed, and believe it or not, but 4-H is where I first learned how to take photos. In 2011 I had two pieces that were selected for the Southeastern MT Juried Exhibit in Miles City. Those pieces were “Can’t Hardly Wait” and “Break Time.” “Can’t Hardly Wait” was also selected with 24 others to join in a Traveling Collection, where it spent one year traveling throughout Montana and North Dakota in art galleries. In 2012 my piece "Small town saturday night" took second place in the Big Sky Rodeo poster contest, was accepted in the South Eastern MT Juried Exhibit, and was also selected the 2013's Montana Seed Show Best of Show. In 2014 my piece "A taste of Summer was selected as the Montana Seed Show Best of show as well. Every year I go down to the world famous Bucking horse Sale in Miles City to compete in a 30 minute Quick Draw, and sell my work. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, or if you would like to share some work of your own I would love to see it!
